WATCH: Team Splits Following Loss At WWE Payback

She flipped. There are all kinds of stories in wrestling and some of them can make for a rather big point in a story. You never know when you are going to see wrestlers go in a very different direction but the changes can be an important deal. We might have seen another one this weekend, as a pairing seems to have split in front of our eyes, with one wrestler going in a different direction.

The opening match of this weekend’s WWE Payback 2023 event saw Becky Lynch defeat Trish Stratus in a steel cage match, despite interference from Stratus’ associate Zoey Stark. Following the match, Stratus yelled at Stark, who attacked Stratus and left her laying before leaving on her own. This would suggest that the team has split, as it is not clear when Stratus will be returning to WWE.

Opinion: Assuming Stratus is leaving, and that seems to be the case, it is a good idea to have Stark get whatever she can out of Stratus on the way out. Stark is someone that WWE seems to be high on and it would be nice to see her get quite a push going forward. This is certainly a nice start, and if WWE follows through with it, they might be on to something with her.
