According to F4WOnline.com, Patrick Clark, formerly known as the Velveteen Dream, made a surprise return at the Dynasty wrestling promotion in Albany, New York on Saturday. Clark interrupted the opening match to issue an open challenge and went on to defeat Alec Odin. This was Clark’s first match since December 2020, as he was released from WWE following allegations of sending sexual photos to an underage boy. There is no word on if he will continue to wrestle.
This was a surprise. Check out the return, plus other surprise returns:
Opinion: To say this sounds questionable would be an understatement. I’m not sure how well Clark is going to be received but the idea of him getting anywhere near a major promotion sounds almost hard to believe. The charges against him were rather serious and that is not something that is going to be forgotten. Clark is a great talent, but at some point that isn’t enough and that might be the case here.
What do you think of Clark’s return? How far can he go in a return to wrestling? Let us know in the comments below.
