WATCH: Seth Rollins And Drew McIntyre React Very Strongly (And Negatively) To CM Punk’s WWE Return

They weren’t happy. Wrestling is built around the idea of conflicts between characters who have a variety of motivations and ideas. That can make for some interesting situations when those wrestlers come together, but there can be more to it than that. Occasionally there will be issues that have nothing to do with what is going on in the story, and now we might be seeing that in multiple ways at once.

CM Punk made his return at the end of this weekend’s Survivor Series, marking his first appearance with the company in nearly ten years. However, two WWE Superstars seem to have reacted negatively to Punk’s return. First up, Seth Rollins, who was in the show’s main event, was showing to be sticking his middle finger at Punk and shouting ‘F*** YOU” while Corey Graves and Michael Cole held him back.

In addition, according to PWInsider.com, Drew McIntyre, also in the main event, “stormed off” after the match and immediately left the arena. There is no word on whether these reactions were legitimate or part of a storyline, though the latter is absolutely a possibility. It is not clear if there are plans for either of them to face Punk at some point in the future.

Opinion: This is certainly interesting, but it is hard to believe that two top level stars like Rollins and McIntyre were unable to contain their emotions in something they knew about in the first place. Punk is going to cause some issues for a lot of people but that is quite difficult to fathom that he would cause this kind of chaos so quickly, especially in front of so many fans.
