The champ is still here. WWE has come a long way in the year since WrestleMania 35 but there has been one constant in that whole time: Becky Lynch is still the Raw Women’s Champion. She is one of the biggest stars in wrestling and has shown very few signs of slowing down. Keeping the title this long is almost unthinkable but Lynch keeps pulling it off. That comes with some perks, one of which was on display Sunday.

On Saturday night at WrestleMania 36 Night One, Lynch retained the Raw Women’s Title in a surprise over Shayna Baszler. The win allowed her to move forward to the one year mark as champion, which is moving her rather close to the modern record for a women’s champion. Lynch has become a celebrity as well, and that was part of what she was doing the day after retaining the title.

Here she is again. Check out Lynch on SportsCenter:

Lynch was a guest on the Sunday morning edition of SportsCenter. During the interview, Lynch talked about her time working with ESPN before, including three This Is SportsCenter commercials she filmed last year. She also spoke about her title defense and what she wants to do moving forward. Lynch also gave her thoughts on Night Two of WrestleMania 36 while talking about the matches she wanted to see.

It took a lot to get here. Check out how Lynch retained the title:

Opinion: I was rather surprised by Lynch retaining the title as it seemed to be time for a new champion. That being said, Lynch is still one of the top stars in all of wrestling and keeping the title on her might not be the worst idea in the world. Hopefully she drops the title to a good next champion, but no matter who it is, the moment will feel big because of how long Lynch has held the title.

Who will beat Lynch for the title? How much longer will she hold the belt? Let us know in the comments below.
