They’re trying. We are in the middle of a never before seen event in wrestling history as you never know what is going to happen from one day to the next. With the spread of the Coronavirus changing one thing after another every single day, you never can tell what you are going to see on any given day. The industry is trying to hold on and in this case, WWE is doing something rather unique.

The biggest part of the problem for wrestling television at the moment is finding a place to shoot the shows. The vast majority of the United States is currently under government orders to shelter in place in an effort to help prevent the virus from spreading. As a result, it is very difficult to find a location to film anything. That has never stopped WWE before though and it might not now.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is currently planning to tape this week’s SmackDown from a secret location. There is no word on where the show could be taped, with the only clue being that it would be in a state currently with no order to shelter in place. This would eliminate North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Arkansas, as the other forty six states all have some sort of shelter in place orders. It is not clear if WWE will be taping more than one show at once.

WWE has done some strange things before. Check out some unusual locations in WWE history:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to expect from this but WWE has done some questionable things before. This does not seem like the best idea in the world and given how long it could be before anything else is available, I’m not sure how well it is going to work out. Maybe they can tape as much material as possible, but there is a chance that this could go rather wrong in a hurry.

What do you think of the plan? Will it work out? Let us know in the comments below.
