IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Beast Down: Brock Lesnar Reportedly Injured During Summerslam Match
At Summerslam, Jimmy Uso cost his brother Jey the WWE Universal Title against Roman Reigns. This is part of the Bloodline Saga, which has involved the Anoa’i family. Over the weekend, the Usos’ father WWE Hall Of Famer Rikishi was advertised for an appearance at a contention, with the advertisement saying he would be refereeing a match at Payback. While no details were given on the match, Rikishi commented on the post, saying “wrong promoter mistake”. WWE has not announced any matches for Payback on September 2.

Rikishi has a long history of his own. Check out his time in the ring:
Opinion: I could see this being pure damage control from Rikishi, but at the same time I’m not sure if it is the right idea. If the Usos are supposed to have a serious, violent match, it is a little strange to have a focus on a special guest referee. At the same time, it does make sense to have it be their father in a story built around family. I could see this going one way or the other, but it might not even be happening.
