How McMahon of him. Wrestling can be an interesting place with so many different idea and people being thrown together in one combination or another. There are often teams or factions that you never would have guessed would work and then they wind up being rather entertaining. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, you are going to see some interesting combinations and WWE will occasionally throw you a curve ball that they can wind up hitting out of the park. That was the case earlier this year, but it was supposed to go on longer.
Earlier this year, Randy Orton was back in the main event scene, which has been the case several times before. This time was a little bit different though as he had a pair of enforcers in the Revival. The trio feuded with the New Day, including taking out Xavier Woods and Big E. before the Revival took the SmackDown Tag Team Titles off of them. The trio could not manage to get the WWE Championship onto Orton, though the three of them enjoyed working together. They would wind up being split up in the WWE Draft, but it was not what they wanted.
According to Fightful.com, Orton went directly to Vince McMahon and asked him to let the team stay together, only to have them get split up in the Draft with Orton being sent to Monday Night Raw and the Revival stayed on SmackDown. There is no word on if the trio will ever be reunited again, though they have teased leaving WWE and teaming up again elsewhere. This was suggested earlier this year, when both Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson said that they should be together again. Orton responded by saying 2020, when his current WWE contract expires.

The three of them did work well together. Check out some of their highlights:
Opinion: Orton’s future status has been one of the most interesting things in WWE for a long time now. He has been with the company for so long that it is almost impossible to imagine him anywhere else, but maybe it is time for him to see what he can do elsewhere. At the same time, there is a possibility that this is nothing more than a way to see how much more money he can get out of WWE. It isn’t a bad idea as WWE would not want someone of Orton’s status to go over to AEW, or anywhere else for that matter. It should make for an interesting new year, which is something AEW has certainly offered.
