Canadians draw. It’s a special time of year at the moment as we’re gearing up for “Royal Rumble 2018”. Of course the majority of the focus is going to be on the build towards the battle royals, but there’s also a lot more of the card to get ready for at the same time. One such match is the Smackdown World Title match, which was the focus of this week’s show. So how did it draw?
According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode drew a .82 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.72 million viewers. The viewership is up from last week’s 2.656 million viewers. This week’s show was headlined by a non-title match between champion AJ Styles and Sami Zayn.

Opinion: It’s a good sign when the new year’s show brings in some extra attention. There’s a lot less competition to deal with going forward and that’s a very good thing for the company. With “Monday Night Football” wrapping up on Mondays and the build towards the Royal Rumble giving the shows even more energy, it’s no surprise that things are starting to get a little bit better.
