VIDEO: WWE’s Special Look At Sasha Banks

She deserves it. Earlier this week, WWE celebrated the fifth anniversary of the beginning of the Women’s Revolution. On the July 13, 2015 Monday Night Raw, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte all made their full time main roster debuts and changed women’s wrestling forever. It was a huge moment, but no one really knew how big the whole thing was going to become.

Over the course of the next five years, the three of them, and eventually Bayley, took over the women’s division and took it to heights that had never been seen before. Throw in Ronda Rousey and there was no stopping it for a long time to come. WWE is looking back on the last five years now and has a special tribute to one of the founding members of the Women’s Revolution.

WWE has posted a new video looking at thirty facts about Sasha Banks. The video includes biographical notes, as well as career milestones and accomplishments. There are several instances of Banks being the first to accomplish certain feats, including several times when she was in the first version of different kinds of matches. Banks is scheduled to challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Title at Extreme Rules.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that always works out pretty well. WWE knows how to showcase its stars and Banks has been a big deal for a long time now. I know she has had some issues with her attitude on and off camera, but you can’t deny the amazing skills that she has both in the ring and on the microphone. Hopefully she can keep her head on straight, because she could be around WWE at a high level for a long time to come.
