It’s a nice of odd things. Back in 2003, WWE debuted the idea of Tribute to the Troops, featuring a show designed to offer a thank you to the United States armed forces. While the show isn’t the most important from a storyline perspective, there’s something very cool about what you get only one time a year. One of the traditions is a team up between some rather random stars, and that’s what we’re looking at today.
Feel the randomness! Check out these Top Ten Tribute to the Troops Team-Ups:
In honor of this year’s Tribute to the Troops airing this coming Thursday, WWE has aired a new Top Ten video looking at Tribute to the Troops Team-Ups. Every year, often in a big multi-man tag match, a group of good guys will get together and face some of the villains. The results for these matches are almost never in doubt and the teams almost never get together again, save for a few instances.
Opinion: There’s nothing wrong with this whatsoever as the show isn’t supposed to be anything more than a fun, one off stand alone episode. The troops in attendance get to see something fun and that’s something that they’re going to remember, which is exactly the point. Hopefully Friday’s are just as good, as there are some options on the roster for some cool matchups.
