We need something new. This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw was focused on the idea of shaking things up. While the initial announcement from Vince McMahon didn’t exactly give a lot of details other than some fresh names and faces would be appearing, the night wasn’t over yet. Later in the night we found out that some new names would be getting the fall from NXT.

This week on Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Lars Sullivan, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, EC3 and Heavy Machinery would be coming up to the main roster. Sullivan wasn’t a surprise as he had been announced last month at Survivor Series and Cross made an appearance on SmackDown Live back in November. There is no word on when these names will be debuting or which show they will be appearing on.

This could mean a lot. Check out the original announcement, with fallout still to come:

The McMahons to control Raw and SmackDown LIVE as a united front: Raw, Dec. 17, 2018

Opinion: Some of these aren’t exactly surprises, but at least they’re announcing a few cool things that we didn’t see coming. Heavy Machinery is fine to bring up for some fresh talent in the tag division and EC3 was ready for the main roster the day he signed. Evans could be interesting, though I could see her being dropped down to comedy in short order. Still though, at least we’re getting something new, which was the whole point of the night.
