Improper barricade usage. Almost no matter where you go, you’re going to see a similar looking arena. You have a ring, steps, a timekeeper’s area and probably a few other things, but in particular there’s a big to keep the fans away from the ring. This wall may be a metal fence but in WWE’s case, it’s a hard wall, normally black (because color coordination is important) and slightly padded. Since this is wrestling, that wall has been used as a weapon more than once, which is as good of an excuse for a countdown as anything else.

I wonder if it’s harder than an apron.

Brutal barricade attacks: WWE Top 10, May 12, 2018

WWE has released a new Top Ten video looking at the most Brutal Barricade Attacks. This video looks at various ways wrestlers have used the barricade to hurt someone else over the years. Some of these things include driving someone through it or dropping them on it, but the most popular seems to be sending someone head first into it. While this is a more modern move for the most part, there is at least one that dates back nearly twenty five years.

Opinion: I know it’s a little brutal but there’s something satisfying about the thud that you hear when someone goes into the barricade. That thing has to be hard and the impact makes for both a great sound and visual. Anyone can take a bump like that and it’s one of the rare things that almost never gets old. If nothing else there’s always the spear, which is one of the few spots that never gets old period, as the collision alone looks awesome.

What is your favorite barricade spot? Who does the best spear through the barricade? Let us know in the comments below.
