Ode to the Big Gold Belt. Fifteen years ago this week, Eric Bischoff awarded Triple H with the World Heavyweight Championship, giving us two full time World Titles in WWE. While pulling a title out of a briefcase isn’t the most interesting thing in the world, it set off a twelve year history of the title, which is worth looking back at.
WWE has released a video on the World Heavyweight Championship, featuring seven things you might not know about the title. This includes various stats about the title, along with its history. This is a great video for statistic nerds who like things like who held the title longer than anyone else or who had the most reigns. Here’s the video:

Opinion: While there might not be anything fascinating or groundbreaking in this list, it’s always cool to see the company look back on something like this. The title had a nice run and bringing back the Big Gold Belt was always a good idea. I’d have rather they brought this one back than the Universal Title but at least there’s some good history to look back over.
