Adios? A few years ago, “Lucha Underground” debuted and was instantly one of the most interesting wrestling programs in recent memory. It was completely different from most promotions with some crazy storylines and over the top characters. However, time hasn’t been the most kind to it and things are starting to look bad.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, season four of “Lucha Underground” is looking unlikely at this point. The promotion doesn’t make a ton of money and the owners aren’t happy with the idea of paying more money to finance another season. This also messes with the contract situations, none of the talent has been paid since the shows were taped fifteen months ago. If the company goes out of business, the free agent market would be flooded in a hurry.

New to the promotion? Here’s a starting point to season one:

Lucha Underground: Meet the Warriors

Opinion: At this point, it’s hard to argue in favor of the promotion. The current season has been going on for over a year at this point and the show just doesn’t have the same sizzle it used to have. I’m not sure how much interest there would be in more episodes, especially if it’s that much of a money loser. I like the show, but I’m not sure how much I’d miss it if it was gone.
