Some good news is nice. There are all kinds of things going on in the wrestling world at the moment and a lot of it is not good news. With so many things changing at any given moment, you never know what you are going to see happen next. As a result, it is nice to see something positive for a change and after something that broke earlier this month, a good update is a nice thing to see.
Earlier this month, Scott Steiner collapsed at an Impact Wrestling taping, resulting in him being sent to the hospital and undergoing a heart procedure. That is one of the scariest things that you can hear happen to anyone, including a wrestler. It was not looking good for Steiner at the time but it has been a few weeks since the whole thing took place. We have an update now and it is a positive one.
Steiner appeared at a New Era Wrestling event over the weekend and referenced his recent collapse, including a Steiner Math joke. He said that he did not remember Friday night or Saturday night, but he did remember the doctor telling him that he had an 8% chance of survival. Steiner thanked the fans for their thoughts and prayers and introduced Mike Jackson for his match.
It’s good for quite a chuckle. Check out Steiner’s promo (he comes to the ring at about 7:00) and the original Steiner Math promo:
Opinion: I’ve never been a massive Steiner fan but it’s nice to see that he is back on his feet and already back at a wrestling show. He won’t be wrestling for a good while, but the fact that he is able to get back in the ring rather than being in a hospital is a great sign. Hopefully he gets to do whatever he wants going forward because it was looking bad for a good while there.
What do you think of Steiner? How many times have you seen the math promo? Let us know in the comments below.
