It’s a rather busy evening at SmackDown. There are a lot of things going on in the world of wrestling at the moment but the biggest and most prominent story is of course Survivor Series weekend. It is one of WWE’s most important shows of the year and has been for several decades now. WWE has taken over Chicago for a weekend of four shows in four nights so they have a lot going on. Naturally, they did something before and after their first show though, because that’s just what they do.
This week’s SmackDown featured a dark match before the show and a segment after it went off the air. The post show segment took place instead of 205 Live, which did not air this week for reasons that are unclear. Before the show went on the air, Cesaro defeated Apollo Crews after a thumb to the eye and a Neutralizer. After the show ended in a huge brawl, King Corbin was left laying and Road Dogg, Triple H and Shawn Michaels came to the ring. The three of them approved of Corbin and offered to let him be part of D-Generation X before beating him up and posing to end the show.
It was an awesome ending. Check out the post show segment:
Opinion: That is the kind of special moment that makes a night of wrestling fun. Michaels and Triple H are legends in wrestling and Dogg is still popular, making this quite a night to behold. It made for a special moment for the crowd and WWE was smart to put it online, as if nothing else it is a great way to promote the show to fans who do not show up very often. Letting it take place after the show was smart as well, as the segment had extra time, which is always a plus.
