VIDEO: Miz’s AWESOME WWE Championship Celebrations

Awesome indeed. There are very few wrestlers as controversial as the Miz. Almost any fan talking about him is going to have a fairly strong opinion on him, be it positive or negative. That can make for some rather entertaining moments when Miz winds up receiving one strong push after another. Miz was in the middle of another big moment this weekend and now has something to say about it.

The main event of Elimination Chamber saw WWE Champion Drew McIntyre successfully defend his title against five former WWE Champions. That is quite the impressive accomplishment, but there was not much time to celebrate as Bobby Lashley attacked McIntyre after the match was over. The attack allowed the Miz to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become the new WWE Champion. As you might be able to imagine, Miz was not going to be quiet.

The Miz cherishes Awesome first moments with title: WWE Network Exclusive, Feb. 21, 2021

WWE has posted a series of videos to its YouTube and Instagram pages showing Miz celebrating his championship win. First, Miz brags about winning the title, saying that the fans are going to have to get used to it. In the second, Miz talks about how many people he wants to see angry in the vein of the Angry Miz Girl from his first title win. Finally, Miz has his first photo shoot with the title where he talks about how long it has been since he held the championship.

Opinion: I have been a Miz fan for a very long time now and it is great to see him getting back to the peak again. I’m not exactly convinced that he is going to be champion for a long time to come, but it was nice to see that title on his shoulder one more time. Miz is a lot closer to the end of his career than the beginning so getting to enjoy a moment like this is a nice feeling, even if it might not last that long.
