This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw ended with Braun Strowman and Finn Balor being defeated by Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens. After the show went off the air, Corbin left the arena, leaving Owens all alone with Strowman and Balor. Owens realized what kind of trouble he was in and begged off, only to try and attack Strowman. This didn’t quite work and Owens was left laying after a running powerslam and the Coup de Grace to end the evening.
It’s always entertaining to see Owens get beaten up.
Opinion: I’m not sure how an Owens vs. Strowman match would go but it’s pretty clear that they’re building towards one at Extreme Rules. Thankfully they can just go nuts with a gimmick match and the whole thing could be just fine. Strowman is on a roll right now and I’d be rather annoyed if he didn’t wind up getting the World Title at some point before the end of the year. Owens is a joy to watch and seeing him get beaten down over and over, especially by Strowman, could be a lot of fun.
