As long as you finish strong. Depending on who you ask, SmackDown Live is usually considered a better show than Monday Night Raw. It might be due to the way the show is presented or the fact that the show is an hour shorter, but there’s something about it that is a little more enjoyable. The night isn’t over when the show is over though and a big match went down after the tapings.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, there was a dark match both before and after this week’s SmackDown Live tapings. Before the show took place, Heavy Machinery defeated Sanity (Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain with Eric Young at ringside) in a match that saw the crowd strongly behind Heavy Machinery. After the taping was over, the main event of the evening saw AJ Styles defeat Randy Orton. The match wasn’t the most serious and featured a bit of a funny moment.
There are times when you can be less serious. Check out Orton dancing in his match:
Opinion: Given the amount of people who are likely to stay for a dark match so late into the evening, especially with 205 Live in between the regular show and the dark match, I can’t blame Orton and Styles for having a bit more fun. Those are the kind of matches that let you do something different and that’s where the wrestlers can do some different things. It’s not like they’re going to get in trouble, so do something different.
