Fun for everyone. Back in 1999, Chyna became the first woman to win the Intercontinental Title. While it was possible that this would be the first of many women to accomplish such a feat, she remains the only one to pull it off. She isn’t however the only woman to win what was primarily a man’s title though, and that’s something that WWE is wanting to take a look at today.
It’s not just a man’s world.
WWE has posted a new version of List This looking at 5 Female Superstars Who Won Men’s Titles. The list is exactly what it sounds like and while most of them took place several years ago, only some of the entries are treated as jokes. While the Hardcore Title is included, there are multiple title wins that were in fair matches that were treated as serious title changes.
Opinion: It’s rather cool that we’re now in an era where this is no longer a concept that would be seen as a joke. I don’t know if we’ll actually be seeing this take place anytime soon, but would it be that out of the question to see Ronda Rousey or Charlotte chasing the Intercontinental Title? Chyna was the first of her kind in that regard, but she doesn’t have to be the last.
