Just a temporary gig. There are a lot of people moving around the wrestling world today and a good amount of them have to do with AEW. The new promotion has offered several wrestlers and wrestling personalities a new top level place to go. That is certainly a good thing as the more wrestling that fans get to see, the better off they are. It was the case again this week but it isn’t something permanent.
As much as some fans are not wild on it, WWE is ultimately the biggest game in town in the wrestling world. Appearing there, even for a short time, can change a wrestler’s career and that has been the case for a lot of people. It has also gotten a lot of people jobs elsewhere as wrestling companies know that they have someone recognizable if they have appeared for WWE. That happened again this week, though it does not seem to be permanent.
Eric Bischoff made a surprise appearance on this week’s AEW Dynamite, moderating a debate between Orange Cassidy and Chris Jericho. On Thursday, Bischoff spoke with WrestleZone.com and announced that it was only a one off appearance and that he is not scheduled for any other dates with AEW at the moment. Bischoff would later tweet about having a good time on the show, as well as talk with Jericho about who won the debate.
And glad to be back. Miss me? https://t.co/cqbh1de04Z

Declaring @orangecassidy the winner of that debate was just…2Sweet! He ate your lunch and stole your bike with his global warming stance. Get over it. https://t.co/771492e8fA

And I had a blast! Thanks for all the great support here and a special thank you to the entire team at @AEWonTNT @AEWrestling for being such great hosts. https://t.co/kTNsOBI7JW

And a tip of the hat to @JRsBBQ for the @83Weeks nod last night on @AEWonTNT. Proving once again that he, like no one else, can make a shameless plug sound exciting as hell!

The debate was a big deal. Check out Bischoff’s appearance:
Opinion: That’s probably for the best as Bischoff doesn’t really have much to do around AEW. He is still a great television personality, but having him around for just a one off appearance was the smart move. Let him come in, do his thing, and leave without having people get tired of him. AEW does not exactly need an authority figure and that is what Bischoff is best known for in the first place.
