You mean that’s how he retired? There are very few wrestlers who reach a truly legendary status. Some wrestlers almost become bigger than the promotions they work for, though in some very rare cases, the only wrestle for one company for the majority of their career. One day their careers will end though, and it seems that one such career may have come to an end, which is quite the surprise.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the Undertaker may be retired as an in-ring performer. Undertaker is currently not scheduled to wrestle at either WrestleMania 35 or the next Saudi Arabia show in May. This has yet to be confirmed, though Undertaker has missed major shows before and still come back later. His most recent match was at Crown Jewel on November 2. He is also booked for the upcoming Starrcast event in association with AEW.

Opinion: We’re coming up on thirty years since Undertaker made his debut with the company and it’s almost hard to believe that he could just be done like that. He’s the kind of wrestler that comes along once in a generation and yet he’s somehow lasted several generations in a rather over the top character. It’s a testament to his talent and he’s one of the few people ever pull it off.
