Are you really surprised? The wrestling world has been changed quite a bit in recent weeks and it’s all been due to the spread of the Coronavirus. The disease has shaken up all kinds of things around the world and wrestling is no different, with all of WWE’s shows being moved to the Performance Center. This has been a rather strange situation, and now we know the next changes.
WrestleMania weekend has a lot more going on than just WrestleMania itself. It really is a nearly week long series of events with all kinds of things going on at once. That can make things very interesting in a hurry and that was to be the case again this year. In addition to WrestleMania, WWE had announced Takeover: Tampa, the Hall of Fame ceremony, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. Now, things are in for a big shakeup.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has issued a statement saying that neither Takeover: Tampa nor the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place as previously planned. At the moment, it is not clear whether the events will be held at all, though WWE did announce Jushin Thunder Liger as the newest member of the Hall of Fame class this morning. The Hall of Fame ceremony was scheduled for April 2 while Takeover: Tampa was planned for April 4.
There were some big moments on big shows. Check out some of their highlights:
Opinion: This could be rather interesting, but also rather disappointing. Takeover is something that has been built up for several weeks now and I’m sure the matches will take place at some point. The Hall of Fame is a little bit different, as it would be quite the sad moment to not allow friends and family to be present for the ceremony. Both will likely happen at some point, but the question now is when.
