You can’t say they’re ending the year quietly. Last night’s episode of “Impact Wrestling” saw two different titles changing hands. First up, Moose became the second ever Grand Champion by defeating inaugural champion Aron Stevens in less than two minutes. To close out the show, Rosemary became the new Knockouts Champion by defeating Jade for the vacant title in a cage match.
The Grand Championship was a bit more of a surprise as the title matches have a nine minute time limit (three rounds lasting three minutes each) but Moose took the title before the end of the first round. On the other hand the Knockouts Title was vacated due to Gail Kim suffering an injury at Rosemary’s hands.
Last night’s show was stacked with four title matches, followed by a fifth one on next week’s show. The problem is that TNA doesn’t bother building these matches up well enough and almost nothing feels like it matters as a result. If they actually set these things up in advance instead of hotshotting them like this, maybe people might get interested and watch the show.
