Two Matches, Including A Debut, Take Place After SmackDown Live

Two for the price of none. There’s a lot going on in WWE at the moment and that means a lot of things are going to take place at any given show. The Royal Rumble is likely to bring up a few new talents to the main roster, but there are some names who are going to be coming up before then. That includes the group of six NXT names, some of which made appearances tonight.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Heavy Machinery made their debut and defeated the Colons in a dark match after this week’s SmackDown Live. The win marks their first appearance after several weeks of vignettes hyping their arrive. EC3 and Lacey Evans made their debuts the previous night. In addition to the Heavy Machinery match, Daniel Bryan defeated AJ Styles via DQ with a low blow in a second dark match. Styles then beat Bryan down to end the evening.

Opinion: I like the idea of bringing these people up in dark matches instead of just throwing them out there all of a sudden. Let them get their feet wet and then see where things go from there. Heavy Machinery is a fun act and if they’re given the chance, they could be a big deal on the show. Now if only we can get them to actually appear on television.
