You might even say they’re broken. The Hardys returned at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”, instantly becoming the biggest stars in the division and making people wonder one thing: when would the Broken Hardys arrive? Something happened at “Payback 2017” that might lead them in that direction.
At tonight’s pay per view, Cesaro and Sheamus turned heel on the Hardys after losing their shot at the Raw Tag Team Titles. This was followed by a beatdown on the champions with Cesaro and Sheamus attacking the Hardys and leaving them both laying. While not announced yet, there’s a good chance this sets up a rematch at “Extreme Rules 2017” in June.

Opinion: If there’s a better way to help set up the Broken Hardys, I have no idea what it is. This screamed a way to make them more intense, along with setting up Cesaro and Sheamus as the new top heels of the division. With the Revival out for a few months, the Broken Hardys making a one off appearance and then losing to the Revival makes perfect sense. The heel turn helps get us there and that’s the important thing.
