Something something with ski on the end. Anderson and Gallows debuted in WWE just under a year ago and things have been up and down for them ever since. They’re both talented performers but things aren’t quite clicking. Now we have a look from their perspective thanks to a new interview.

Karl Anderson was recently interviewed by USA Today and spoke on the change of pace that the team’s first year in WWE has been. There are several differences between WWE and New Japan and while there has been a bit of a transition period, Anderson seems to be getting the hang of things. Here are some highlights:

On the Mix of Wrestling and Entertainment

“We love the physical aspect and we love the entertaining aspect. A lot of the Bullet Club stuff that what we did in New Japan was based on having fun and being entertaining, but when it was time to get in the ring, we could handle business there too.  I’m looking forward to seeing what we do next.”

On the Changes to “Monday Night Raw’s” Tag Team Division:

“Ever since we showed up in the WWE, The New Day was on top and to see them leave the RAW tag team division, you can tell it’s different. Having the Hardy Boyz come back at WrestleMania, that’s a bonus. To have guys like Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy who have been all over the world and gotten so famous and are still really good at what they do is really cool. The Revival, they’re two of the best as well. Cesaro and Sheamus have come into their own and they’ve been around WWE for a long time. There’s a lot of good tag teams coming up.”

And on When Did They Know the Hardys Were Back:

We found out a couple of hours before we had to work. We had some kind of expectation because the rumors were flying for a couple of weeks. The day of is when we got word they were coming. We were all very happy with it. At the end of the day, Jeff and Matt Hardy helped make the WWE tag team division what it is. The ladder tag team matches they had at WrestleMania in the past made those matches famous. Being in there at WrestleMania with Matt and Jeff Hardy was an honor in itself. It was a great moment to be part of and I’m glad we got that.

Opinion: I think it’s safe to say that Anderson and Gallows’ WWE run hasn’t been the strongest so far but a lot of that seems to be due to the way they’ve been booked rather than their individual personalities. Just look at what they did with Southwest Regional Wrestling to see how good they really can be. Why that’s not translating to “Monday Night Raw” isn’t clear but once they harness their abilities, everything will be fine.
