PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has signed two new stars to NXT. First is Alexis Gray, who was a track and field star at Texas Southern University, where she earned a degree in biology. Second is Ezekiel Balogun, a 6’6 former basketball player from the University of North Florida. There is no word on when either of them will officially start training at the Performance Center.

Opinion: WWE has to do this every so often and they do have some success with bringing in stars from other sports to try their hand at wrestling. It isn’t the way that things need to go all the time but it does make sense to try and bring in some great athletes to see what they have. These two have some potential and it should be interesting to see what WWE can get out of them over the years.
