Well so much for that. We are less than three months away from WrestleMania 36 and that means we are getting ready for the biggest show of the year. With so little time left, it should be clear where some of the matches are going but that is not the case this time around. There are very few indications of what we are going to be seeing, but we might know one match that won’t be taking place.

One of the biggest things that has to be dealt with for WrestleMania is Brock Lesnar. The reigning WWE Champion, Lesnar has to do something big at the show and that is the case every single year. It isn’t clear who is going to be challenging Lesnar though, which is where things are getting complicated. There are only so many wrestlers who can challenge him and now we know someone it won’t be.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Tyson Fury will not be facing Lesnar at WrestleMania 36. The match had been considered for the last few months but will not be taking place at the moment. Fury is expected to be part of the event in some form but it is not known what he will be doing at the moment. Fury has wrestled one match for WWE, defeating Braun Strowman via countout at Crown Jewel 2019.

Fury can do a few things in the ring. Check out his match with Strowman at Crown Jewel:

Opinion: That’s best for everyone involved. I understand that Lesnar is different than anyone else in the company, but you don’t want to waste something like this on Fury. With so few options available for Lesnar, go with something a little more interesting than a sport vs. sport match. It isn’t interesting and Fury isn’t going to win, so why waste a title defense on it in the first place? The same is true for Cain Velasquez, and it looks like that’s where Lesnar is going anyway.
