That’s one way to go. Brock Lesnar has been back in the WWE for nearly eight years now and has spent a lot of that time as a World Champion. There are very few wrestlers who have had that kind of dominance and as the current WWE Champion, there is a good chance that the reign is going to continue for a long time to come. Lesnar needs a serious challenger and he might have found the biggest yet.

We are less than three weeks away from the Royal Rumble and that means it’s time to get serious about the Road to WrestleMania. It’s the biggest time of the year in WWE and with so little time left, things need to get big in a hurry. That can start with finding the World Title challengers for WrestleMania 36 and this year, WWE seems to be going with a more direct approach regarding the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Lesnar announced that he will be entering the Royal Rumble as the #1 entry. There is no word on if the WWE Championship will be on the line, though it is still a possibility that it will be. Lesnar won the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston on the October 4 edition of SmackDown and has defended it once since, when he defeated Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series.

Lesnar has been in the Royal Rumble before. Check out one of his better performances:

Opinion: This could be interesting, as there are only so many things that you can still do with Lesnar. I don’t really see the need in having him beat another star at the Royal Rumble in a match where he isn’t in any serious danger. They’ve done that for a few years now and it’s time to shake things up a bit. I’m not sure how this is going to go but I can give them points for trying something a little different.
