Another one bites the dust. Tag teams do not have the best history in WWE. There have been periods where the division has thrived due to the amount of talent involved, but more often than not, there are only a few teams here and there. Unfortunately that is the case today as well, and now the ranks of the division have been thinned out even more, thanks to what seems like a split.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Elias walked out on a Raw Tag Team Title match, leaving partner Jaxson Ryker to be defeated by champions AJ Styles and Omos. During the match, Ryker was ready to tag Elias, who dropped to the floor instead. Later in the night, Elias said he could not imagine the idea of riding with Ryker when WWE returns to touring in July. The two have been paired together since December 2020.
What could have been. Check out the split and some happier times between the two:
Opinion: This doesn’t exactly surprise me as the team has teased issues before. Why WWE would want to get rid of another one of the few teams that they have is beyond me, but that is the kind of thing that they do. Ryker might be being prepped for a singles run, which could have its own set or problems. I’m not sure where this is going to go, but it is certainly a way to go.
