Stick around for awhile. AEW has come a long way in just over three years of existence. There have been a lot of wrestlers who have appeared for the company in that time, but there has been a group who have been around since the beginning. That is not the biggest surprise, but the question becomes how many of them are going to stay around for the long term. Now we know another one who will be sticking around.
According to PWInsider.com, Frankie Kazarian has signed a new contract with AEW, though there is no word on how long the new deal will last. Kazarian was one of the first signings for the company and, along with Christopher Daniels as SCU, held the AEW Tag Team Titles, marking the first reign in the titles’ history. He most recently appeared last week on Dynamite, losing to Lance Archer.
Opinion: Keeping Kazarian around is certainly a good thing, as he is the kind of wrestler who can work well with anyone. That is a very valuable person to have around, as he can be a star in his own right while also helping bring some of the younger wrestlers along. AEW keeping Kazarian is a smart idea and if Kazarian is happy with sticking around, there is not a bad side to this whole thing.
What do you think of Kazarian? What should he do next in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
