Backstage WWE Speculation About Major Royal Rumble Return

Welcome back. The Royal Rumble is a lot of things, and one of the most important is a way to bring back former wrestlers. With sixty spots to fill over two matches, there are a lot of places to bring back wrestlers who have not been around for a long time. It can be even better if it is someone who has had some success in WWE before, and that might be the case with a surprise return.

According to Fightful Select, there is a belief among some wrestlers backstage that Asuka will be making her return to action at the Royal Rumble. However, this has not been confirmed and is still seen as speculation. Asuka has not wrestled since Money in the Bank in July due to an injury and it is not known if she has been medically cleared to return to the ring yet.

Opinion: That would be a pretty awesome moment as Asuka is one of the better wrestlers in all of WWE. She is a former Royal Rumble winner and would instantly be one of the top possible winners this year. If nothing else, it would be great to have her back by WrestleMania, but that mask popping up on screen would be a great thing to see on Saturday as well.
