It’s an advantage. We are less than two days away from Elimination Chamber and the show is still being put together. With so little time left, you would think that WWE would have the show planned out further than they do, but that is not the case so far. There are several more details to be figured out, and one of those things was taken care of this week on SmackDown.

As you might have guessed, the Elimination Chamber pay per view will be built around the Elimination Chamber matches. The match is one of the biggest and most intense matches that WWE offers and this year, there are going to be two of them. Since the match is built around surviving until the end, it would be quite the advantage to come in last. Someone earned that honor this week.

The main event of this week’s SmackDown saw Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler win a six team gauntlet match. This win earned them the right to enter the Elimination Chamber match for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles last. Roode and Ziggler, former Raw Tag Team Champions, last defeated Heavy Machinery to win the match, which also included New Day, Lucha House Party, the Usos and John Morrison and The Miz.

It was worth the effort. Check out the gauntlet match:

Opinion: I’m not sure I get the logic behind this one. You have a six team elimination match to make me want to see another six team elimination match? That might not be the best battle plan but then again, this show hasn’t had the best buildup in the world. Elimination Chamber is not looking very strong on paper, but maybe they can pull off a miracle and make it work.
