Other Side: How WWE Is Planning To Set Rhea Ripley’s WrestleMania 40 Challengers, Leading Contenders

They need to cover that. We are officially on the Road To WrestleMania 40 and that means it is time to start getting ready for the biggest show of the year. This includes covering several title matches, some of which will be incredibly sought after. WWE has several ways to make this work and now we seem to know how they are going to be determining one of the WrestleMania title challengers.

Over the weekend, Bayley won the Women’s Royal Rumble, earning a title shot against the champion of her choice at WrestleMania 40. According to PWInsider.com by way of Wrestlingnews.co, Bayley will not be choosing to challenge Rhea Ripley, leaving her without a challenge. Instead, there will be an Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber on February 24 with the winner challenging Ripley at WrestleMania. The two names most likely to challenge Ripley are Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch.

Opinion: This is the logical way to go as the Elimination Chamber is the perfect system to set up the next challenger. That opens up a variety of options, as Bayley will likely be dealing with Iyo Sky. Lynch vs. Ripley has been teased before and feels like a WrestleMania level match, though it seems that there are at least some other options out there to give Ripley a challenge.
