You have to plan for the future. The wrestling world has been in a very weird place over the last few months and that is likely to be the case for a long time to come. There is no way of knowing when the situation will be back to normal, but that does not mean wrestling companies can sit back and wait it out. They need to have things ready for when they have a chance and that is what the biggest wrestling company is doing.
One of the biggest things missing from the current wrestling product is untelevised wrestling. With no fans in the arena to watch the shows, there is no point in running them in the first place. However, things are slowly starting to change with various opening up, albeit on a somewhat delayed schedule. That could suggest fans being allowed in arenas in the future and WWE is getting ready for that reality.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE is making plans for the return of live events with fans in attendance, possibly starting in July. The next live event scheduled is an NXT show on July 10 in Citrus Springs, Florida, which was never canceled in the first place. There is no word on how WWE would be handling social distancing or ticket sales for the reduced capacity venue. WWE’s most recent event with fans in attendance came on March 7.
I’m hearing that internally the WWE live event schedule is slowly being rebuilt. I’m still not expecting anything with fans prior to July, however. Discussions about ticket sales going forward have also begun, with social distancing guildlines remaining in place. That’s tricky.

Opinion: This is a great example of something I’ll believe when I see. I have no idea if WWE is going to be able to run an event with fans in attendance and it seems like something that would seem unlikely, but with over a month and a half away, it is at least a possibility. Granted that is different than a good idea, but when has that ever stopped WWE before?
