Rumor: WWE Interested In Top Lucha Libre Star

You can always use another luchador. Rey Mysterio, who may have just re-signed with WWE, is arguably the greatest luchador of all time. He’s certainly one of the best high fliers and the most successful luchador in American history. Ever since he became a huge star, wrestling companies have been trying to find the next Mysterio. That has been said a lot, but in this case that might be the case and of course WWE has noticed.

According to Cagesideseats.com, WWE is interested in signing the luchador Bandido, who recently appeared in the main event of All In. Bandido, 23, is a high flier who has started making a name for himself recently on the indy circuit. This includes making the finals of this year’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament, being one half of the Progress Tag Team Champions and becoming a top tag team with his regular partner Flamita.

Opinion: Every now and then you need to have someone on the roster who flies all over the place and does a bunch of crazy stuff that no one can replicate. That’s what you have with Bandido and there’s reason to believe that he could be a heck of a star in WWE. He’s not someone who needs much of a character as all he has to do is go out there, bounce around a lot, and then soak in the cheers. That sounds worth a shot to me.
