Welcome back. Over the last few months, you’ve probably noticed some big names appearing on Monday Night Raw. These include but are not limited to Shawn Michaels, Triple H and the Undertaker. While it’s normal for WWE to ramp up their shows in an effort to fight off Monday Night Football, there is only so much they can do with their current resources. Now though, they have a few extra means to make things happen.
According to Dirtysheets.com, an additional aspect of the influx of Saudi Arabian money towards the WWE product is the ability to have more top stars appear on television this fall. Such appearances from Triple H, Michaels and the Undertaker have already taken place and given what seems to be the likelihood of three of those four being in a tag match at Crown Jewel, the news does seem to fit.
Like this appearance, where a friend is promised.
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by this, and it would make sense. If Saudi Arabia is enjoying the benefits from these shows, they need to have the shows be popular. That seems to be the case here, and if WWE is able to bring in some extra eyes to the product to help them fend off the Monday Night Football ratings, so be it. If I have to watch more big names showing up every week, I guess I can suffer through the fall again.
