It means more coming from him. Vince McMahon is not what he used to be but he is still the king of the professional wrestling world. That is not going to change until he is gone and that can be both a good and bad thing. McMahon still has an eye for talent, but there are times where some of the decisions he makes are a little confusing. That might be the case again here.
NXT has been an amazing resource for WWE over the last few years, as it has not only become one of the most well received promotions in the world but it also feeds new talent to WWE. However, some of these names are more successful than others as you never can tell what an NXT star will do on the main roster. It is a fascinating situation at times and that might be the case again at the moment, albeit not in the best way.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, McMahon is not interested in pushing Shayna Baszler as a top heel in the Monday Night Raw Women’s division. Baszler had been rumored to win the Money in the Bank briefcase but Asuka wound up winning it instead. There is no word on if this was due to Becky Lynch having to miss time due to her pregnancy. Baszler is still likely to become a top star in the division, though it is not clear when that will be the case.
Baszler has made an impact on the main roster in her short time there. Check out some of her moments:
Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by something like this as Baszler does not seem to be the kind of person that McMahon would want to push. She isn’t the flashiest star in the world and WWE has not been given the chance to show what she can do on the main roster. It is clear that Baszler can be a huge star in WWE, but that was down in NXT. Hopefully it winds up working though, as Baszler is way too good to not make this work.
What do you want to see from Baszler? When will she win a main roster Women’s Title? Let us know in the comments below.
