Yeah he’ll do. Despite feeling like it has been around forever, AEW is celebrating one year since its first live event this month. That is kind of hard to believe but they have managed to make it work rather well over the last twelve months. With that being said, they still need to bring in some fresh talent to help pad out their roster a bit, and that is what they have done again.

There are a lot of wrestling companies in the world but only a few make it to that elite level. While not exactly being the most well received over its history, Impact Wrestling is one of the bigger promotions in the world and as a result, someone having success there is going to mean something elsewhere. That would include former World Champions, one of whom debuted for AEW.

Former Impact Wrestling World Champion Brian Cage made his AEW debut as the surprise ninth entrant in the Casino Ladder match. Cage, accompanied to the ring by Tazz, won the match, earning himself a future World Title shot. This comes after Cage was out of action for several months with a torn bicep. He left Impact Wrestling in January and was rumored to have signed with AEW.

This is how you make a debut. Check out Cage showing up in AEW:

Opinion: Cage is someone who makes a ton of sense as a signing as he is huge, has amazing athletic ability and was a star in another big company. The good thing about the debut was he had been gone long enough to be a surprise but not long enough to be completely forgotten. Hopefully he gets to showcase himself well in AEW because he seems tailor made for the company.

What do you think of Cage? What can he do in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
