I might want out too. The wrestling world is changing in a lot of ways and that may not be the best thing in the world for a lot of the wrestlers. While there are new options for wrestlers to take and new places for them to apply themselves, there are also different ways of presenting them, which may not be the most logical. Some wrestlers are not happy with it and are actively trying to make changes.
One of the most consistent stories over the last year has been the Revival’s unhappiness in WWE. The team came up from NXT as a pair of technical masters who wrestled a very old school style. However, that is not how they have been used on the main roster and they have not seemed happy with it. They have made more than one attempt to leave the company and that was the case again this week.
According to Wrestling Observer Live, the Revival again tried to receive their releases from WWE earlier this week but were again shut down. The team has tried to get out of their contracts several times over the last year and have yet to be successful. In addition to that, according to Bodyslam.net, the team was offered contracts worth more than $700,000 a year but turned them down. Scott Dawson’s contract expires in April while Dash Wilder’s is finished in June, as ten weeks have been added to his deal due to missed time due to an injury.
Remember the good times. Check out Revival’s better days in NXT:
Opinion: This is one of the more frustrating situations in WWE as it is clear that both sides want out and yet we need to stay for the sake of the deals. I can understand both positions but at this point they need to just part ways and be done with everything for good. Thankfully the deals are done in the summer and everyone can just move on, hopefully with as few hard feelings as possible.
