He has a good reaction to everything. One of the forgotten stories from the end of last year saw Mauro Ranallo walk out on WWE for a few shows over comments made by Corey Graves during Takeover: WarGames. Ranallo did not appreciate Graves’ criticism of Ranallo’s commentary and missed a few shows as a result. Some time has passed since the incident and things have changed a bit.

This might not sound like anything overly important, but Ranallo’s background factored into everything. Ranallo’s issues with mental health are well known, including a past incident with John Bradshaw Layfield which drove him away from the company in 2017. Therefore, any similar incident was going to set off alarm bells, but thankfully Ranallo wound up coming back. Now we know a little more about his mindset.

Ranallo was recently interviewed by TSN 1040 and discussed the situation with Graves, along with his mental health situation. In the interview, Ranallo talked about how difficult the last year has been for him and how he wants his legacy to be about working for mental health rather than anything he did in broadcasting. Regarding Graves, Ranallo said that while he would never do what Graves did, he thanks Graves for causing him to deactivate his social media accounts, as it has helped with Ranallo’s mental health issues.

Ranallo is one of the most fascinating broadcasters in wrestling. Check out some of his intense commentary:

These Mauro Ranallo reactions will make your day

Opinion: This is an area that can be so tricky to deal with because you never know how someone is feeling inside their head. Ranallo is someone who is so valuable to the NXT product as he is the voice of the show and someone who makes the show that much better. I’m glad that things have gotten better for him and hopefully that continues to be the trend. It would be horrible for Ranallo to lose his place because of what someone said and if this helped him, that’s a good thing.
