It would be a promotion. Nikki Bella is rapidly becoming one of the bigger cross promotional women the WWE has ever produced. She’s been on two reality shows and “Dancing With the Stars”, both of which have advanced her exposure around the mainstream entertainment world. Now though, she might be up for a bigger deal in the wrestling world.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, Bella may be up for the role of “Smackdown Live” General Manager. This will be a plot line in the upcoming season of “Total Divas”, which premieres this Wednesday. Current General Manager Daniel Bryan was attacked by Kane earlier this week, which could result in him losing his position.

Here’s Nikki outside the ring.

Nikki Bella seeks Johnny's advice about the future of her career: Total Bellas Bonus Clip, Oct. 25

Opinion: Let’s not pretend that this is a big surprise. WWE seems to love the Bellas and Nikki is easily the bigger star of the two. If WWE can get some more publicity and mainstream connections out of her, we’ll just have to sit through her talking all seriously on “Smackdown Live”. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen but I really wouldn’t be stunned to see it.

Would you like to see Bella take the job? If not, who should get the position? Let us know in the comments below.
