It’s worth the cost. Earlier this year, WWE made its first trip to Saudi Arabia. The event, the Greatest Royal Rumble, was part of a ten year deal signed with the nation’s government that would bring the company a ridiculous amount of money over the next ten years. With the first event out of the way, the question immediately became what will the next one be. While we don’t know for sure, we might have an idea.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE has rescheduled two upcoming European tour dates, which may be for the sake of holding another show in Saudi Arabia. The shows, originally scheduled for October 31 in Stockholm, Sweden and November 1 in Oslo, Norway have been moved to May 11 and May 12 respectively. Assuming the show is held on a Friday like the Greatest Royal Rumble, this would put the next Saudi Arabia show on November 2.
How did things go last time?
Opinion: It’s cool to see WWE getting these big international shows but it would be nice if something important actually happened. Last time the show was just a really big house show with a vacant title being won in a match that felt like a way to say something actually mattered. I know they’re not likely to mean much, but it would be nice if a little something did actually go down.
