No, they didn’t. There have been several changes taking place in WWE as of late and some of the biggest have come from Vince McMahon himself. McMahon is back in power as of earlier this year and is one again making changes to the company’s creative direction. This reportedly led to some of the most important people in the company taking a drastic action, but that might not be the case.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Again? WWE Star Taking (Another) Break From The Company
Earlier in the week, a rumor had begun circulating, saying that WWE CEO Nick Khan and Chief Creative Officer Triple H were planning a “creative intervention” with McMahon. The meeting would have seen Triple H and Khan asking McMahon to stop making last minute creative changes to shows. However, according to Fightful Select, no such meeting took place or was ever planned. A WWE official reportedly called the idea “silly”. Even if the meeting had taken place, there is no way to force McMahon to do anything given his position in the company.
There have been some interventions in WWE history. Check out some of them over the years:
Opinion: This is one of those things that sounds good on paper until you start to think about it. There is very little that can be done to stop McMahon from doing what he wants to do and that creates a problem. At the same time, I can understand Triple H and Khan wanting to stop the last minute changes, as they can disrupt everything that has been put together. Making changes is one thing, but making them at the last minute is quite another, which hopefully McMahon can understand.
What do you think of the idea? How can McMahon be best used in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
