Rumor Killer On Brock Lesnar’s Monday Night Raw Status

Not so fast. Coming out of last weekend’s Summerslam, the biggest change saw Brock Lesnar lose the Universal Title to Roman Reigns. With the title loss, the question was what he would be doing next, though he was nowhere to be found the next night on Monday Night Raw. Since he wasn’t there, the question of whether he was actually scheduled to be there in the first place. Now we know a little more about that.

According to PWInsider.com, contrary to a story that has been making the rounds of late, Lesnar was never scheduled for this week’s Monday Night Raw. There were rumors that Lesnar not showing up caused the need for the long Triple H promo against Undertaker, but that promo was always in the script for the show. In addition to this, Paul Heyman was on the show, meaning there was little reason for Lesnar to be there in the first place. If a Lesnar promo was needed, Heyman was there to do whatever was needed.

Maybe this is it for Lesnar on Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: I can’t say I’m going to miss Lesnar at the moment, even though he wasn’t exactly there in the first place more often than not. Sometimes you need to get rid of him for a little while so you can get something fresh in there. Having Lesnar looming over the entire promotion wasn’t helping when he was barely around, so having him gone is probably best for everyone at the moment.
