It’s something that can happen to anyone. Wrestling is a violent sport and no matter what the wrestlers do, there is no way to be completely save in the ring. Every now and then you are going to have some sort of injury, which may or may not be that bad. Some injuries are a lot worse than others so as it tends to be with just about anything, it’s all about the details.
On Saturday night, AEW presented its Revolution pay per view. The company does not air pay per view events very often so this was a big time event for them. One of the major matches on the show featured Kenny Omega and Hangman Page defending their Tag Team Titles against the Young Bucks. The match was an instant classic, but there might be a problem involved.
According to Fightful Select by way of Ringsidenews.com, Omega may have suffered a hand injury of some kind during the title match. There is no word on what happened or when the injury took place. Omega finished the match and successfully defended the titles with a win over the Young Bucks. There is no word on if Omega will miss any time due to the injury or what would happen to the titles if he did.
A healthy Omega can go in the ring. Check out his Iron Man Match from this week’s Dynamite:
Opinion: This is one of those things where we are going to have to wait and see what happens. Omega is a very valuable piece of the AEW roster and it would be a shame if he has to take time off. The good thing is that a hand injury is something that can be worked around so hopefully he is fine enough to keep going. Even if he has to miss a few weeks, everything should work out.
How has Omega done in AEW? How long will he and Page hold the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
