That’s a long time. Title reigns can mean quite a bit for any wrestler’s legacy, as holding a championship for an extended period of time can show just how dominant a wrestler can be. Since titles can change hands at such a rapid pace, it can be all the more impressive when someone holds a title even longer. That is the case in WWE, and now another milestone has been reached.

This week, Roman Reigns reached 500 days as WWE Champion, having won the title from Brock Lesnar on April 3, 2022 in a winner take all match at WrestleMania 38. This puts Reigns sixth all time on the list of title reigns, with Pedro Morales’ 1,027 day reign next on the list. This title reign is separate from Reigns’ time as Universal Champion, which currently sits at 1,083 days. There is no word on when Reigns will next defend his title.

Opinion: Honestly at this point, it is hard to fathom all of the milestones and records that Reigns has achieved. He has held the titles for so long now that it is almost losing any meaning that it might have. Reigns is the most dominant champion of the modern era and while it helps that he defends the titles so rarely, it is still quite the accomplishment that almost no one else has ever achieved.
