Well hello again? Earlier this year, Roman Reigns took a leave of absence from WWE to deal with a recurrence of leukemia, which he had previously beaten eleven years earlier. This move left a huge hole in WWE, but the much more important question was when (not if) would Reigns be back. Now though, even if we don’t know when he’ll be getting back in the ring, we might know when he’ll be appearing next.
According to PW Insider, Reigns was in attendance for this year’s Tribute To The Troops taping on Tuesday morning. There is no word on whether or not he will appear on the broadcast, either in a backstage/pre-taped segment or in front of the live crowd. If he does appear, this will be Reigns’ first time on WWE TV since October 22. Tribute To The Troops airs Thursday December 20.
It was a sad but powerful speech. Check out Reigns’ farewell speech from Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: Reigns appearing would be very cool, and given which show it would be on, WWE wouldn’t be likely to use it as a storyline point as much as they would on one of the regular TV shows. His illness is a very serious one and having him come back, even for a cameo, would be a feel good moment. Hopefully he gets to come back more and more, eventually returning permanently.
