That’s not a great sign. WWE is in a state of flux and a lot of that is due to AEW. With AEW having risen up as a new option for both wrestling fans and wrestlers themselves, a lot of talent is taking their chances elsewhere. Even if wrestlers are not making the jump, they can see more clearly that there are other places to go outside of WWE. Two wrestlers might be taking their chances in another company.
Over the course of the last year, there have been very few wrestlers with as many issues as the Revival. It has become clear for a very long time that the team is not happy with the way WWE has been using them. The team has voiced their displeasure through social media and it has seemed likely that they will be leaving. Last week there was another sign that would agree with that theory and it is tying in to current WWE plans.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the Revival was left out of this month’s tag team Elimination Chamber match because they have not signed new contracts with the company. The Revival was scheduled for the match but were replaced by the Lucha House Party. The Revival’s contracts are expected to expire this spring, but they are not going to expire at the same time due to injury extensions.
Revival has a lot to offer in the ring. Check out some of their work:
Opinion: I’m not sure what to make of this but at this point I’ll take the team being off of television so they’re not harmed any further. It’s pretty clear that the two sides do not want to work together so maybe this is the best thing for everyone. If the Revival just has to sit around and wait on their contracts to expire then so be it, but my goodness it could have been something special if they could work this out.
Do you think Revival is heading to AEW? Will they be as successful as they are in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
